We seek a full-time Coordinator to support the selection, development, and administration of placement assessments, course exams, and other testing services offered through the Testing Center. This position ensures the secure and professional administration of both individual and group exams, with a primary focus on proctoring and coordinating external examinations. The Coordinator serves as the main Pearson VUE contact, oversees all external testing operations, and acts as a liaison with Student Access and Accommodations Services.
General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as coordinator and head proctor for external course and placement exams.
- Serve as site manager and primary contact for Pearson VUE testing, including but not limited to handling candidate inquiries and complaints, installing software updates, submitting cases, and processing invoices.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Testing Center and Student Access and Accommodations Services to coordinate student accommodations.
- Coordinate with Adult Education to schedule GED testing while assessing community GED testing needs and adjusting accordingly.
- Correspond with faculty regarding verification of Electronic Request for Testing forms
- Implement test software upgrades in coordination with IT staff.
- Coordinate the department’s use of the K2 workflow system, including electronic exam submission, archiving exams, etc.
- Collect, maintain, and ensure the security of all data and records pertaining to services provided. Generate reports to support planning and operational goals.
- Maintain confidentiality of students, faculty, and staff who take exams for new student placement, HCC courses, and external institutions in accordance with FERPA.
- Maintain all aspects of the operation of the Testing Rooms in accordance with established procedures.
- Serve as an evening and Saturday test administrator on a shared basis with other Testing Center staff.
Requirements

- Associate degree or appropriate experience/education.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact effectively within a diverse campus community.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to function professionally under pressure.
- Familiarity with data management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications

EMPLOYEE LEAVE
Vacation: 20 days (160 hours) per year with a maximum annual carry-over of 40 days (320 hours); Accrual of 6.16 hours will be granted on the last day of each pay period
Sick Leave: 12 days (96 hours) per year with unlimited annual carry-over; 12 days (96 hours) granted on start date; Beginning on the first anniversary, accrual of 3.70 hours will be granted on the last day of each pay period.Volunteer Leave: 1 day (8 hours) per year with no annual carry-over;
