We seek applicants for a part-time position within Adult Education to work individually with students to explore, identify, and achieve career pathway goals under the guidance of the Associate Director. Will support Adult Education students' transition into further educational or employment opportunities.
Schedule is anticipated to include up to 20 hours per week.
General responsibilities include but are not limited to- Support students' goal setting and career pathway identification
- Meet with students to identify, evaluate, and reduce barriers to their success and achievement of identified goals; refer students to additional services, resources, and staff for additional personalized support as needed
- Assist with planning and implementing career-focused experiential learning activities such as job shadowing and mock job fairs
- Support student onboarding and orientation processes
- Maintain records of student class attendance and follow-up with students when absent
Requirements

- Bachelor's degree OR associate degree with appropriate work experience
- Organizational and planning skills, attention to detail, ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to effectively and inclusively serve a diverse population of adult learners
- Ability to function professionally under pressure and perform duties in a confidential manner
Desired Qualifications

- Experience working with underserved adult populations
- Career development experience, such as interview preparation, resume/cover letter writing, or administration of career assessment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
