Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable software and cloud solutions.
- Manage data integration, analytics, and optimize application performance.
- Ensure data security, compliance, and support business operations via agile methodologies.
- Lead strategic engineering efforts using in-depth knowledge of tools, processes, and application architecture to solve complex issues.
- Design full-stack applications with industry-standard languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, PySpark).
- Provide technical consultation, problem resolution, and guidance to business and product teams.
- Maintain expertise in software engineering concepts: security, containers, version control, CI/CD, unit testing.
- Work across diverse compute environments: Linux, Hadoop, Mainframe, Public Cloud, containers.
- Understand customer needs and competitive landscape to drive innovative solutions.
- Influence product development practices, coding standards, code reviews, and software architecture.
- Research and integrate industry best practices into development processes.
- Mentor and coordinate product team members, delegate tasks effectively.
- Lead product testing to ensure quality and author technical documentation.
- Participate in open-source initiatives to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Technical Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years experience as Application Management Senior Analyst, software development, or similar roles using relevant programming languages.
- Analyzing, designing, developing, maintaining software applications.
- Full software development lifecycle: requirements, specs, coding, testing, deployment, maintenance.
- Writing efficient, maintainable, scalable code (e.g., Python, PySpark).
- Debugging, testing, optimizing code for production reliability and performance.
- Secure coding practices: vulnerability mitigation, security standards, data protection.
- Preparing test strategies/plans, executing test cases, analyzing results.
- Working with IBM Mainframes, COBOL, JCL, and mainframe data management.
- Integrating mainframe systems with modern applications.
- Developing data ingestion, transformation, integration systems for large datasets.
- Handling data pipelines, ETL tools, AWS cloud services.
- Designing/deploying AWS cloud solutions following Well-Architected Framework.
- Working with RDBMS: schema design, optimized SQL, data modeling, performance tuning, backup/recovery.
- Working with NoSQL (e.g., DynamoDB), schema-less data models, performance optimization.
- Implementing batch and real-time data ingestion (e.g., AWS Kinesis).
- DevOps practices: CI/CD, version control (Git), infrastructure automation (Terraform).
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field.

- Potential starting salary range: $104,000.00 - $159,100.00
- Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
- High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
