Job Summary
The Head Women’s Swimming/Diving Coach is responsible for the overall success, performance and conduct of the women’s swimming/diving program at Illinois State University. The Head Women’s Swimming/Diving Coach is responsible for supervising, planning, coordinating the activities of all swimmers and divers. The Head Women’s Swimming/Diving Coach is responsible for setting standards and establishing team culture that maintains a high standard of program excellence which includes successful recruiting academically eligible student-athletes; developing the team and individuals within the team; staff hiring and supervision, management of the program budget, scheduled of contests and facilities needs, ordering equipment and uniforms, and public relations/donor relations. The Head Women’s Swimming/Diving Coach is responsible for conducting all duties and activities with integrity and within NCAA rules, Missouri Valley Conference rules, the State of Illinois requirements, Illinois State University and Athletics Department regulations.
Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$65,000-$80,000
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree
2. Demonstrated ability to recruit, train and develop high-level women’s swimming student-athletes at the collegiate level
3. Proven organizational and leadership ability, as well as both oral and written communication skills
4. Strong commitment to academic goals, positive team culture, and student-athlete welfare,
5. Thorough knowledge of NCAA rules governing eligibility, financial aid and recruiting
6. CPR/AED and First Aid certified (or eligible for certification upon employment)
7. Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master’s Degree
2. Minimum of two (2) years of collegiate and/or club swimming coaching experience.

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Remain at a workstation for extended periods
2. Move about in various locations on and off campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
3. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
