About the role

Illinois Farm Bureau's political action committees, ACTIVATOR®, play a critical role in building relationships with candidates and elected officials. Our grassroots-based PAC activity is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in bipartisan political efforts. The work of the intern will support voter mobilization, agriculture issue advocacy, and an increase in public participation in the political process. Specific tasks will include preparing for endorsement meetings, assisting with fundraising and executing expenditures.

Do you have what we're looking for?

Requirements:

  • Currently seeking a bachelor’s degree in political science or related field.

  • Must be able to work full-time hours from late May 2026 to early August 2026.

  • Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to:

    • Prioritize and manage time effectively.

    • Work collaboratively to promote the goals and objectives of the organization.

    • Think critically and problem solve.

  • Proactiveness.

  • Genuine interest in politics and civic engagement.
