About the role

As a member of our credit union’s Lending Support Team, you’ll play a vital role in building meaningful relationships with our members while supporting their financial well-being. This position offers a strong sense of accomplishment—especially when you help turn around underperforming accounts and guide members toward financial success.In this role, no two days are the same. You’ll have the opportunity to learn new tasks regularly while managing the risks associated with our diverse loan portfolio, including auto, personal, real estate, and some commercial loans. Your primary responsibility will be to service existing loans by delivering high-quality support and effective problem resolution. This includes responding to member inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits, as well as following up on faxes and other communications.

How does this role make an impact?
- Responds to questions regarding open loans. - Monitors effective control procedures for late, delinquent and potentially delinquent loans. Makes initial contact on past due accounts. Researches, recommends and offers payment arrangements and loan modifications to members. - Assists with foreclosures, repossessions, bankruptcies, maintenance and sale of collateral in default. Assigns uncollectible accounts to collection agencies and attorneys for litigation as required. - Tracks and monitors insurance and taxes on collateral and performs escrow analysis and lien perfection. - Monitors incomplete files for receipt of required documentation and ensures timely follow up with members and loan officers. - Tracks and monitors insurance on collateral to ensure the credit union’s collateral position is not jeopardized. - Manages vendor relationships related to loan servicing. - Sets up and processes payments.Do you have what we're looking for?
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including phone etiquette, customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with lending products.
- Knowledge of servicing practices, including collection as it pertains to lending.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including occasional overtime.
- This is an entry level support role, which does not require previous experience.
Base Pay Range:
$34,400-$47,300The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.
Incentive Pay:
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan.
