About the role
As a Mechanical Supervisor at the Illinois Farm Bureau, you’ll be at the forefront of driving operational excellence, ensuring that mechanical systems run smoothly and efficiently. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to lead a skilled team, troubleshoot complex challenges, and implement innovative solutions that directly impact the success of projects. With your expertise, you'll oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimization of critical equipment, all while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. · Oversees the operation, repairs and installation of all mechanical equipment, ensuring proper operation of systems in compliance with required regulations and code. · Provides supervisory leadership for assigned staff, including employment, training, supervision, support and ongoing performance feedback. Follows the terms of the Labor Agreement. · Develops and maintains positive relationships with vendors. Supervises external contractors on relevant projects, ensuring that projects meet specifications, schedules and budgets, and all applicable codes, standards and good construction practices are followed. · Supervises hazardous materials/special waste handling and disposal to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory agencies. · Establishes and implements preventative maintenance programs. · Establishes and implements energy management plans for the facility. Monitors and adjusts equipment schedules for optimum energy usage. Analyzes energy usage and recommends equipment replacement. · Assists in budget preparation and explanation. Allocates material and labor charges on work orders for the IFB and affiliated companies.Do you have what we're looking for?
Typically requires 3+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training. - Professional designation of Facility Management Professional, Building Operator Certification or equivalent or ability to obtain within a year. - Energy management certification preferred. - Normal office environment. - Ability to ascend/descend stairs and ladders. - Ability to work in confined spaces. - Ability to wear a respirator. - Ability to work in hot or cold environments. May be exposed to seasonal extreme temperatures. - Works non-standard hours as needed in order to respond to emergency situations.Base Pay Range:
$72,000-$99,000The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.
Incentive Pay:
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan.
