As a Project Manager with our environmental team, you'll be at the frontline planning, developing, and executing environmental educational programs for the organization. You'll coordinate all logistical preparations for events and program, such as, securing location, making site preparations, recruiting speakers, hosting onsite and managing all events and programs details.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule and is based out of our corporate offices in Bloomington, IL.
How does a Project Manager make an impact?
- Plans, develops and executes educational programs for the organization.
- Creates communications and promotional materials to encourage and maximize participation in programs and issues.
- Coordinates all logistical preparations for events and programs, such as securing locations, making site preparations, recruiting speakers, hosting onsite and managing all event/program details.
- Performs basic research, prepares reports, and provides information, as requested.
Qualifications
Do you have what we're looking for?
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including robust writing and presentation skills.
- Good project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, establish priorities and attention to details.
- Computer proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and content management systems.
- Ability to work independently.
- Certifications like Certified Associate in Project Management or Project Management Professional preferred.
- Farming background preferred.
- Education or course work in environmental sciences preferred.
- Work may extend beyond normal business hours as business needs dictate, including frequent long workdays.
- Regular/frequent travel, including some overnights and air travel, required. Must have the ability to attend relevant meetings and fulfill job responsibilities throughout Illinois.
- Typically requires 4 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
