We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Customer Service Representative to join our team! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for Illinois Farm Bureau (IFB) members and county Farm Bureaus (CFBs), providing exceptional service via phone and email. You’ll handle general IFB and membership inquiries, research and resolve issues, and collaborate with internal and external contacts to ensure smooth operations. Additionally, you’ll support divisions with membership mailings and communications, and accurately log and report communications to management. This position offers a hybrid work schedule and is based out of our corporate offices in Bloomington, IL.
How does a Customer Service Representative make an impact?
- Communicates with members and county Farm Bureaus via phone and email to answer membership questions, resolve issues and address financial matters, collaborating with internal and external contacts as needed. Logs and reports communications to management.
- Creates and coordinates membership billing notices and other membership mailings and communications, as assigned.
- Runs county billings for recovery, working with various departments to ensure inventory is billed accurately.
- Maintains records using organized filing system of paper and/or electronic documents as appropriate and communicating information to internal and external contacts as needed.
- Assists with yearly budget. Codes and manages department invoicing and filing.
- Coordinates supply inventory and ordering for the department, such as office supplies and membership promotional items.
Qualifications

- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including strong customer service skills.
- Computer proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to organize efficiently, establish priorities and attend to details.
- Normal office environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
- This is an intermediate level support role, which typically requires 1+ years of relevant experience.
