A Brief Overview

The Credit Supervisor oversees the performance of credit analysts, by coordinating Credit Department activities, hiring and training staff, scheduling and reviewing work, and monitoring/appraising staff performance. The Credit Supervisor analyzes complex financial information and credit structures. Provides training and supervision in a manner necessary to encourage and motivate high quality performance from department staff to facilitate the best credit decision outcomes.

What you will do

  • Schedule and monitor daily work to maintain a smooth workflow within the department and achieve department objectives.
  • Review completed credit analysis reports and provide direct feedback to credit analysts.
  • Collaborate with loan officers and portfolio managers to ensure proper structuring and presentation of loan requests.
  • Motivate staff to learn job functions expediently and in a manner that creates desired opportunities for individual employees and loyalty to the Bank.
  • Guide staff to achieve high quality analysis that will facilitate best credit decision outcomes.
  • Participate in preparation of loan applications for large and complex credit relationships.
  • Participate in and guide regular and relevant training programs for department personnel.
  • Provide oversight of the preparation of credit-related reports necessary for management to adequately assess portfolio quality and trends.
  • Provide support to management in a variety of credit related activities and projects.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of credit industry trends.

Other Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Finance, Accounting and Business and Minimum 2 Years Credit Analysis Preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
