A Brief Overview
The Escrow/Insurance Lead assists the Escrow/Insurance Supervisor with overseeing daily Escrow/Insurance operations. The Escrow/Insurance Lead is the first line of assistance to the Escrow/Insurance staff. This position is responsible for building loyalty to the organization, maintaining a team environment, assisting with implementation of procedures, and training. The Escrow/Insurance Lead is responsible for meeting established productivity standards by successfully combining skills, ability, and effort to ensure levels of service are achieved. This position performs with efficient service and is fully compliant with all industry regulations. The Escrow/Insurance Lead reports to the department supervisor.
What you will do
- Train employees on all Escrow/Insurance tasks
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of escrow records on all loan types on the Bank's core system
- Review data input for accuracy and completeness on escrow records
- Assist with escrow distribution processing and reviewing annual escrow analysis
- Answer incoming calls with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Reconcile escrow checking accounts and general ledger accounts in a timely manner
- Monitor and track property tax status and insurance status on escrow and non-escrow loans
- Verify that all policies and procedures are followed to minimize risk of fraud
- Contribute to the performance appraisal process of frontline Escrow/Insurance staff by providing input to the Escrow/Insurance Supervisor and Loan Servicing Manager
- Work with customer and their contractors on their insurance claims
- Upload loan documentation to electronic file
- Exercise good judgment and take a proactive approach to anticipating and solving problems
- Demonstrate the ability to independently make sound decisions based upon Bank policies, procedures, knowledge, and experience
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Escrow/Insurance Supervisor, Loan Servicing Manager, or Loan Operations Manager
Other Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Related Curriculum and Minimum 5 Years Loan Operations or Loan Servicing Preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
