PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Fosters a culture of continuous improvement by providing training, tools, and direction on the LEAN methodology to employees to enable and empower them to effectively eliminate inefficiencies, streamline processes, and enhance customer satisfaction.

SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP

Provides support to cross functional teams empowered to execute continuous improvement methods.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Support delivery of breakthrough levels of improvement in process capability and business processes to reduce defects and attain best in class levels of quality and customer experience.

Facilitate, train and coach team members in the use of Lean Six Sigma tools.

Collaborates with LSS Black Belts to mentor key personnel in developing a culture of Lean Six Sigma throughout the organization.

Facilitate cross functional team projects designed to streamline processes, improve the customer experience, enable profitable growth and increase operational efficiency.

Support and facilitate value stream mapping (VSM) and VSM continuous improvement roadmaps, action plans, and create standard processes throughout the organization.

Constantly seek, share and implement best practices across the enterprise.

Develop key operational metrics to measure overall division and organizational performance.

Partner with teams to identify potential process improvement projects, assess gaps and develop gap closure plans.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent plus 2 years of GROWMARK system experience.

Requires completion of LSS Black Belt designation including completion of one Black Belt project within 12 months.

Demonstrated experience with process thinking and process improvement through LSS Yellow Belt and/or Lean Leader certification.

Proven track record for developing, training, and coaching teams.

Proficient at clearly identifying, defining, analyzing, and resolving problems and process weaknesses.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, problem-solving, decision making, and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Must have the ability to travel independently and overnight when necessary.

A valid passport for out-of-the-country travel is required.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
