PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Under the direction of the Crop Nutrients Supply Director, the Associate Supply Specialist is responsible for the overall management of purchase orders, into stock orders, and stock transfer orders for all modes of transit. In conjunction with the supply team, the delegation of customer specific issues to customer care for customer assignment and processing.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Aids to create and processes purchase orders for direct vendor and into stock shipments.

Assists product managers with the placement and management of stock transfer orders.

Coordinates with the Crop Nutrient Supply team to determine if purchase orders will ship to a GROWMARK or customer inventory location.

Coordinates with GROWMARK owned and leased facilities per established protocols and processes. Creates downstream documents and reports as required for the inventory location.

Communicates purchase order and shipping information required by the Customer Care team to facilitate the sales order creation, downstream documents, and reports as required for the customer.

Actively supports the efforts to reconcile any inventory discrepancies.

Provides updates on shipping information and delivery estimates from vendors to the supply, sales, and customer care teams, as well as GROWMARK inventory locations.

Seeks to optimize existing processes and document workflows.

Develops and presents alternative ways the Crop Nutrients Division can be easier to do business with, while achieving revenue goals.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Ensures operations comply with company-defined policies and code of ethics.

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Responsible for encouraging, supporting, and promoting innovative practices, ideas, and technologies within the team.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a college degree in a business-related field or equivalent and 1+ years of experience in a business-related role.

Proven computer skills and ability to use data to enhance business processes.

Experience analyzing and optimizing existing processes.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Ability to work hours considered outside a normal workday during peak seasons.

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Must have the ability to acquire and maintain a valid U.S. passport and be able to travel independently and overnight as necessary.

Strongly prefer an understanding of GROWMARK’s enterprise software functionality and its use to drive improved business results.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
