About the role

The Life/Health Release Train Engineer (RTE) serves as a servant leader and coach responsible for the successful execution of an Agile Release Train (ART) within COUNTRY Financial’s SAFe‑based Value Delivery Framework. This role facilitates and coordinates key ART events, including PI Planning, ART Syncs, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt, ensuring alignment to enterprise cadence, governance, and strategic objectives. The RTE partners closely with Product Management, Architecture, Business Owners, vendors, and technology leadership to proactively manage dependencies, risks, and impediments across multiple agile teams. By promoting Lean‑Agile principles, transparency, and continuous improvement, the RTE enables predictable, high‑quality delivery while helping shape the future of agile delivery at COUNTRY Financial.

How does this role make an impact?

- Creates, manages and executes project/program plans, including project requirements, estimates, scope, timeline, milestones and deliverables. - Builds strong working relationships with stakeholders, including team members, vendors/contractors, business and ITS partners to aide in effective execution. - Ensures the establishment of scope and priorities and identifies and manages risks, issues and dependencies to achieve project objectives. - Manages and tracks budget and budget variance as well as project progress against project milestones and budget. - Monitors project progress and milestones and provides regular updates to stakeholders, including status reports and presentations. - May primarily manage projects using Agile/Scrum framework.

Do you have what we're looking for?

  • Typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
  • Experience leading technology projects or programs, including developing and executing project/program plans (scope, estimates, timelines, and deliverables).
  • Proven ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with business partners, ITS teams, vendors, and contractors.
  • Demonstrated skill in managing risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Experience performing financial modeling for cost/benefit analysis.
  • Strong capability in providing clear and timely status reports, presentations, and stakeholder updates.
  • Background in technology operations, service delivery, or support environments is preferred.
  • Experience with Life Insurance products and administrative processes preferred but not required.

Base Pay Range:

$138,800-$190,850

The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.

Incentive Pay:

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan.
