About the role
Leads and directs assigned personal lines underwriting staff with accountability for performance and the results of group in accordance with COUNTRY’s corporate strategic direction. Manages and drives the consistent achievement of established service levels. Establishes good working relationships with home office staff and financial reps. Selects, develops, coaches, and evaluates staff to ensure the efficient operation of the department. Supports the growth and retention of a profitable Personal Lines portfolio.How does this role make an impact?
- Coordinates and communicates with agency force and company management/agency/marketing staff to ensure business operations are appropriately supported and aligned with personal lines underwriting goals and objectives. - Assures prompt and efficient risk selection services are provided at a reasonable cost to clients. Oversees improvements in underwriting practices to maximize effectiveness and efficiency for various market segments. Analyzes new and existing book characteristics to identify trends and opportunities to enhance profitable growth. Works closely with agency management to enhance productivity of financial representatives. - Responsible for personal lines underwriting direction, philosophy, and strategy. Directs and oversees the underwriting of new and renewal personal lines business. Maintains overall accountability for personal lines underwriting results and workflow.Do you have what we're looking for?

- Demonstrated leadership experience with direct reports preferred. Experience leading indirect reports or project teams will be considered.
- Insurance underwriting or Operational experience is preferred.
- Operational Excellence Training/Experience; Lean Leader or Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
- Professional Insurance Coursework e.g. CPCU, CIC, ARM or similar programs.
- Work may extend beyond normal business hours as business needs dictate.
- This is a leadership role, which typically requires 6+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
Base Pay Range:
$91,200-$125,400The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.
Incentive Pay:
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan.
