About the role
As a Reinsurance Supervisor, you'll lead a team of employees focused on the administration of reinsurance premiums and claims. You and your team will ensure compliance with reinsurance treaties, regulations and accounting procedures. There will be opportunities to improve processes and develop staff to learn more about Life, Health and Annuities as it pertains to reinsurance. Also, you'll utilize your technical skills around data management and organization to further enhance and improve reinsurance processes. Part of your job will be interacting with Actuarial leadership and areas outside of the division, to provide reinsurance analysis when needed.This position offers a hybrid work schedule and is based out of our corporate offices in Bloomington, IL.
How does this role make an impact?
- Processes reinsurance transactions including but not limited to monthly billings and claim recoveries.
- Performs monthly reporting in accordance with deadlines and turnaround standards.
- Provides user support for our reinsurance systems and partners.
- Assists in the development, implementation, and adherence to our reinsurance treaties.
- Manages the implementation and maintenance of disaster recovery plans and activities in assigned areas. Maintains current contact information for all employees in applicable areas and communicates with non-recovery employees during a disaster.

- Understanding of insurance/reinsurance regulation/financial reporting.
- Ability to work with systems/data to achieve efficient processes.
- Communicating reinsurance concepts inside and outside the division is critical.
- Typically requires 6+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
Base Pay Range:
$91,200-$125,400The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.
Incentive Pay:
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan.
