The Food Service Lead supervises and coordinates activities of the workers in the food services areas to ensure timely patient meal deliveries and high levels of customer service. Oversees total food service operation in the absence of the manager.

Supervise activities in kitchen, dish room and retail food service areas to ensure that quality standards are maintained.
Responsible for staffing, call offs / absences, and training.
Ensures that department meets all local, state and federal regulatory requirements.
Under management direction will maintain standards of service and discipline according to policies and procedures established within the department.
Ensure all orders thru vendors are placed by cut-off date.
Ensure all cleaning tasks are being completed daily / weekly.
Oversee total food service operation in the absence of management.
Supervise the patient tray assembly.
Complete lead shift production sheets and inspection form.
Supervise food preparation quantities and quality.
Place maintenance service requests for equipment as needed. Write production preparation for cooks according to production sheets and pars. Conduct daily kitchen inspection, noting issues, and assigning resolve to the issues.

The compensation range for this position is $15.13per hour - $24.51per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
