Overview
Responsibilities
Provides coaching and support to ensure high levels of patient engagement. Shares patient engagement results with team to maintain positive results or improve as needed.
Recognizes customer relations issues which require action and proceeds accordingly in a calm, professional manner; demonstrating strong customer service, effective conflict resolution and service recovery skills. Elevates up the chain of command as needed.
Coordinates staffing schedule and works to address staffing issues providing for coverage when needed.
Delegate problems thru proper channels and follow through to see completion.
Provides instruction and assistance to students and fellow technologists within ultrasound.
Motivates staff, provides praise and constructive feedback to elicit high levels of engagement and productivity.
Participates in annual associate reviews by providing feedback regarding development and/or performance plans.
Responsible for department orientation and training of new associates. Conducts ongoing assessment of orientation effectiveness, adjusting as appropriate.
Upholds department policies and serves as a role model by acting in a manner consistent with behaviors of excellence.
Participates in hiring, correction and termination activities adhering to strict confidentiality standards.
Monitors equipment and disinfection techniques to ensure safe practices; engages clinical engineering or biomed as needed.
Maintains general knowledge of department policies, procedures and standards. Seeks assistance as needed.
Maintains and seeks to improve knowledge and understanding of ultrasound practices and equipment.
Perform all other job duties as assigned.
Assures patients rights and privacy are maintained. Stays current in obstetrical ultrasound practices and research. Processes images in accordance with standard procedures or techniques. Encourages safe behaviors, tools and reporting. Reports safety events timely and works toward appropriate resolutions.
