Job Category

Position Summary

Oversee scheduling and execution of Ball Fitting events in the US market including the recruiting and management of the temporary ball fitting staff and product and promotional materials. Additional responsibilities include coordination of monthly consumer and customer Open House visits at R&D Test Facility.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans, schedules, and executes ball fitting events around the country.
  • Manages the recruiting, hiring and supervision of temporary employee ball fitters.
  • Works with Territory Sales Managers (TSM’s) in coordination of ball fitting events with TSM’s customers and the individual ball fitters.
  • Coordinates and manages brand and competitive samples, and promotional items (tents, banners, flags, tables) in support of ball fitting events.
  • Develops and implements procedures for monitoring ball fitting project success including, but not limited to number of ball fitting events, individual ball fittings and model recommendations.
  • Reviews technical publications, articles, and magazines to stay informed of developments within the golf industry.
  • Works with Marketing team to effectively communicate ball fitting activities to the golf market.
  • Works with R&D Team to schedule monthly open house tours of R&D Test Facility.
  • Collect/analyze ball fitting data and utilize that data for marketing, social media/digital and product planning purposes.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises up to 20 temporary employees (ball fitters) around the US. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret general business communications including sales/marketing programs, purchase orders and shipping documents. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages, Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS

Requires experience with Word and Excel. Power Point experience preferred.
